Our unique luxury fruit cake named after our local landscape of the famous Glastonbury Tor and the surrounding moors has been developed from an old recipe found in niche next to a fireplace whilst renovating the bakery over 25 years ago. The updated recipe boasts the highest quality dried fruit which is steeped in Somerset cider, a locally sourced mature Cheddar, black treacle, pecan nuts and a host of other special ingredients. After the cakes are baked they are put into storage  allowing the flavours to mature. The result is a scrumptiously moist, rich fruit cake with a crunchy crust of brown sugar. The cake is sold in a specially designed tin, under ‘The Grand Tor’ brand.
